Responsibilities & Duties

Management of the wine cellar/wine bar
Responsible for the recommendation, appreciation and sales of international and Australian wines and other restaurant beverages to restaurant guests.

Converse with restaurant guests in fluent English with the ability to speak at least one other European language preferably Spanish as a large selection of our wines are from Spain, South America and Argentina.

Must possess Level 3 Advanced Certificate in WSET with a minimum of five (5) years experience as a Sommelier in five star restaurants preferably with international restaurant experience.

Provide wine educational training to restaurant Management, staff/personnel in such areas as: Wine appreciation—wines complementing specific foods, wine general knowledge with an understanding of their origins, palate flavours and descriptions, new wine releases, pronunciation of wine names and wine related issues.
